Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an added benefit or additional effect when the equipment is utilized. They can be bought by players or vendors, scavenged or gotten as rewards, or constructed by crafting materials. In addition to providing attribute bonuses, upgrade item s can also have cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components include inscriptions enhancements, and infusions. They aren't generally available for general use and can only be used on equipment that is ascended or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. Infusions can be recovered or inscriptions, as well as enrichments from equipment using an Infusion Extractor Device, or by salvaging with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Like other upgrade products, Phoenix Boxes can be traded while still connected to the item they are upgrading. They are able to be used again after being reclaimed. These upgrade items are the most effective option to boost quality of armor and weapon without spending Dilithium in the sense that they increase the odds of receiving a high-quality upgrade by two times.
A component that is upgraded within an item can be replaced with a different one however, it will destroy the original one (except for upgrades to ascended equipment and legendaries). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or higher. The addition of an upgrade to an item that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the new item as it appears in game (for example adding an Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be named Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player is limited to up to three upgrade items at one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great addition to any product. They provide unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, increasing its overall strength. These glyphs can be found through the dungeons and some even be found in specific World Tier 3 areas. It is important to note that glyphs are not available on a character that hasn't created an area of root dungeons of the same depth.
To use a Glyph you first have to create it with components and then connect them using anchors. The component will then automatically align itself to other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph using components, you can use the combination of paths and anchors. Then, drag an element in close proximity to a highlighted component to snap it into place.

Some glyphs have conditions to meet, such as having a minimum of 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some require a specific number of Primary Stat nodes to activate which is sometimes difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius, which increases as you move it up.
Glyphs can be found on various items, and are added to all weapons, with the exception for weapons of specific classes. Certain glyphs can be used with additional requirements, like a certain amount of Dexterity damage, or Attack damage for a specific part of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph adds a 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has 15% chance to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Some glyphs can also be applied to restricted use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs can be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs in the game are the attack ones which boost Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. They are particularly useful for ranged classes like Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results that are rolled when taking an Action. After the reroll is completed, they are thrown away. Reroll tokens can be obtained in many ways, including raids and dungeons, or through participating in skirmishes. They can also be bought at the store or purchased from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials because they allow players to roll the rewards from the chest at the end.
Recycle points are available for items that are at level 1. If an item is recycled it will add a certain number of points to the gauge for upgrading. This number is determined by the rarity of the item and its level. In addition, the upgraded item won't keep its level when it is rerolled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up with its level.
Another option is to use reroll tokens in order to roll an upgrade item again however, this won't bring the item back to its original condition or give it its original stats. This is useful for players who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment that they don't like but want to keep in their collection.
Three kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game: Reroll, randomly generated and upgrade. Each type comes with a variety of subtypes. For example, reroll tokens are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each requires an item from the level of its respective to make a new item with that quality.
To use rerolling tokens you must select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select the type of token you want to use. The tokens available include Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. The Item token can be used to create an Item in any quality. Using a Weapon or Misc token will produce an entirely new weapon belonging to the same faction.
There is also the possibility that the item will be upgraded into a new item with an increased level and the same additional stats. This could happen if the item has been placed in the Non-Droppable Pool, or if it was transferred there as part of a franchise card.
